eCOM Becomes An IBM Supplier To Strengthen IBM Partnership

Publish Date:Jun.28,2012

On June 28 2012, eCOM/ITAC strengthened its partnership with IBM by becoming IBM's local B2B SaaS (Software as a Service) VAN (Value Added-Network) provider in China. Through this alliance and via the ITAC VAN, IBM can now directly connect its global customers to their Chinese trading partners. As IBM’s local service provider in China, eCOM/ITAC upholds IBM’s dedication to efficient, secure infrastructures, and high quality service. These include all on-boarding, implementation, and customer support services. eCOM/ITAC is able to provide this to IBM through a government endorsed VATS (Value-Added Telecommunications Service) license issued by the MIIT (Ministry of Industry Information Technology) of China.

Established in 1996, eCOM has been an integral business partner of IBM/Sterling Commerce in Asia. With offices in the China, Hong Kong, and the Philippines, eCOM provides the best B2B/EDI collaborative service known as the ITAC VAN, operated by eCOM's subsidiary company ITAC. Through this VAN, enterprises globally can connect to the international IBM Sterling B2B Collaboration Network directly and trade with their worldwide trading partners. Moreover, Chinese enterprises can do EDI transactions with over 3 million enterprises in more than 80 international EDI VAN’s, and also connect to American and Canadian customs. The ITAC VAN connectivity with the IBM Sterling B2B Collaboration Network provides global access to the infrastructure and creates an advanced, serviced, secure and reliable B2B/EDI collaborative platform, establishing a comprehensive IT environment for supply chain integration to enhance competitiveness.
